FAQs

Booking Process

• Send us an enquiry (including day, time and venue)

• The closest harpist to your venue, available on your day, will get in touch with you.

• He or she will send a personally tailored quote, based on our price list, their biography, videos and repertoire lists.

• If you are happy, they will send you a contract and an invoice, and the booking information.

• If you do not find the harpist you are looking for first time, let us know and another harpist will get in touch with you.

On the day

• Your harpist will arrive 45 minutes before the start of the booking.

• If playing outside, the harp must be completely protected from the sun (usually the venue can provide something for this if requested before). A rug might be also necessary.

Below 17°C, it might be difficult to play, as fingers need to be kept warm.

The final decision regarding whether weather conditions are suitable is at the sole discretion of the harpist.

• Stairs are usually not a problem, as our harpists are equipped with very handy trollies with which to move the harp. However, if the stair case is very narrow or has a very low ceiling, an extra pair of hands may be required.

• The harp can be moved to different locations around the venue, it usually takes about 10/15 minutes to reset everything.

• Please provide refreshments if the booking is over 2 hours.

• Amplification might be needed if you have over 150 guests. Your harpist can provide this for an additional cost, unless the venue has already an amplification system.

Repertoire

• For a civil ceremony, you will need to pick up four songs: one for walking down the aisle, two for the signing of the register and one for the recessional (exit). Your harpist will always be happy to suggest songs that sound great on the harp. For securing new music there are no additional fee if these aren't (yet) in your harpist's repertoire.

• If you are having a religious ceremony, you might want some extra music such as hymns, do not hesitate to let us know!

• It is possible that your harpist can come as a duo with another instrument (flute, violin, cello, singer...), or even as a trio (harp + 2 other instruments).
